Michael Schroeder
Regional Director/Senior Principal Engineer — Sdii Global
After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Cincinnati, Michael went on to earn a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Xavier University. In a career spanning over 20 years, Michael's areas of expertise includes structural, civil, geotechnical, foundation engineering, litigation support/expert witness, commercial roofing systems, and determining the cause and/or origin of failures. He is currently licensed as a Professional Engineer in multiple states, serves as a member and on the Roofing Industry Committee on Weather Issues, Inc. (RICOWI), member and officer of the RICOWI Foundation Board, and has taught numerous building envelope and forensic training courses. Serves on a Technical Advisory Board for a single ply membrane manufacturer. Prior to joining SDII Global, Michael spent 10 years as a regional manager for a national forensic engineering firm where he performed over 2600 forensic investigations, oversaw all aspects of forensic engineering and management within his region, and was responsible for business and client development activities. He has continued to perform forensic investigations (over 3800 projects) teaching building envelope and forensic training to various audiences providing expert witness testimony hiring/training/mentoring new forensic engineers managing personnel and helping develop business opportunities in collaboration with Sales/Marketing.
